Mower Medic Review

by admin on April 6, 2012

Mower Medic is a Southern Maryland small business that will pick up your lawn mower, provide repairs or servicing, then return your mower right to your home.

I learned a long time ago that it’s just not worth trying to haul in your dirty, smelly (not to mention, HEAVY) lawnmower into Sears to have it repaired. And let’s face it–repairing an expensive item like a lawnmower can be a lot more affordable than purchasing another one. For me, Mower Medic is the place to go when I need my mower repaired.

Mower Medic asks for $30 deposit at the time of pickup, to be applied to your bill, should you opt to have the repair completed. Currently, Mower Medic’s minimum repair charge is just under $70–still more than worth it, if it means you don’t have to buy a brand new mower.

Back when I first moved into my home and money was tight, I didn’t have the money to buy a new mower. And as a single mom, I didn’t have a lot of time to drag my mower around. (Plus, I didn’t particularly want to get gasboline, grass, and oil over my car.) So finding a business that could keep my lawnmower in good repair was a huge benefit. I called mower medic, and they had my mower fixed and back to me in about a week. The cost was about $70/year.

I used mower medic for a few years until I decided to buy a new mower. At that point, my mower had no problems for years…until this year, it simply wouldn’t start. I tried replacing the oil, gas, and spark–but still, nothing. So I called up Mower Medic again.

Their pricing is the same: $30 deposit upon pickup, with a minimum repair cost of about $70. (It’s about $10 more to get a complete servicing.) But before scheduling a pickup day for my mower, the service person at Mower Medic gave me a few suggestions as to things I could try to resolve the problem on my own. What? A company trying to help me avoid needing their services? You don’t find THAT very often!

I highly recommend Mower Medic for lawnmower repairs. They’ve always gotten the job done for me, and I’ve been using them for years. And with free pickup and delivery to most local areas, Mower Medic is the easiest option for getting your mower fixed–and your grass back under control.
